Who We Are
My name is Enrique Garcia. Together with my 9 younger siblings, we are proud owners of the Garcia Brothers Chicken Flock. We've raised chickens for over a decade, and our passion for hatching, growing, and developing beautiful birds has only strengthened over the years. Situated just north of Houston in Montgomery, Tx, we are ready to help you improve your flock. Whether you're looking for fresh eggs, meat-birds, beautiful feather patterns, exotic rarities, or just a simple barnyard setup, we bet we can help.
How We Started
Our story began with a small barnyard mix-style flock. After years of simple management, we were fascinated by dark, chocolate eggs and decided to rebuild our flock with purebred Marans from an East Texas breeder. When we resettled in Midland, Tx in 2018, we culled nearly 70% of our stock to establish a solid core of quality birds. With time, our Marans standards improved in all critical aspects. We expanded our flock to include nearly a dozen distinct chicken varieties and sold hundreds of chickens to customers all around Texas. In late '23, we returned to our farm in Montgomery, Tx, and have cut back to our seven favorite breeds.
What We Do
Every year, we produce hundreds of chicks from our self-sustaining flock, carefully selecting and adjusting each hatch to meet our customers' needs. We also sell fertile hatching eggs for those interested in hatching their own brood. In the summer, we sell the majority of our laying hens to make room for the next generation. In late summer, we sell 3-4 month old pullets until we hit our winter lockdown.
